We will be traveling with a 4 and 2 year old and taking advantage of the ground transportation from the airport and around the parks. Do I need to bring car seats or does the buses have them installed? Also would you suggest bringing or renting a stroller?

    Hi, Tricia!

I’m glad you’re planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! I’m a big fan of introducing little ones to the magic of Disney early on. As a parent, there’s something extra special about seeing the theme parks through our kids’ young eyes.

You’re not required by Florida law to use a car seat or booster seat on airport shuttles or on Walt Disney World transportation, such as buses and boats. In fact, car seats are not permitted in the passenger cabins on Disney’s Magical Express and must be stowed in the storage compartment underneath the motor coach. Your kids can either sit on your lap or occupy the seat next to you.

I have a 3-year-old, and we always bring our own stroller along on Walt Disney World vacations. I like having it available for use in the airport and as we make our way around the resort. My son is also more comfortable in a stroller that he’s familiar with. If you think you’ll use a stroller quite often and don’t mind traveling with it, I do suggest bringing your own.

I hope this information is helpful, Tricia! Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
