We will be traveling with our 2 year old and 11mo old to disney in October. Our plan is to do Epcot and Magic Kingdom. My question is; what resort is the best one to stay at to get to those 2 parks as quickly as possible?

    Hi Molly!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with toddlers and preschoolers is so much fun and having convenient access to your hotel is essential to helping everyone have a relaxing vacation. For access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, I would recommend staying at one of the hotels that are located on Seven Seas Lagoon. Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa all have the easiest and quickest transportation to Magic Kingdom. From all three resorts, you can take either a monorail or a water taxi directly from the hotel to Magic Kingdom. I have found that the time to get to Magic Kingdom for both of these transportations options has been significantly shorter than the bus transportation from other hotels. From Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can even walk from the hotel right to the park! For transportation to Epcot, you can take the monorail from your resort to the Ticket and Transportation Center, which is a stop on all of the monorail lines. Then you can transfer to the Epcot Monorail for a short ride to Epcot.

I have found with my two young boys that monorail transportation is definitely the easiest transportation for our family in the parks. I can push our double stroller right on to the monorail, lock it, and be on our way. No need to take them out of their stroller and fold it up, like you have to do on the buses. This is especially important when heading back to the hotels for a nap or after a long day in the parks before bedtime if they are asleep in their stroller.

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you plan for your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
