I am traveling with my 91 year old Father on the Dream on a B2B HOTHS Cruise. He would like to bring his electric scooter. How easy is it to navigate the scooter on the ship? Also, would you recommend using it on Castaway Cay?

    Ahoy, Carol!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hear that you'll be taking your family on a DREAM-y vacation to paradise! We've taken a back-to-back voyage aboard the Disney Dream and loved spending an entire week aboard that beautiful ship! Plus, you're going to get double the fun of Halloween on the High Seas and Pirate Night!

Thank you for asking such a wonderful question! I believe your father will find the corridors and spaces around the ship extremely electric scooter friendly! Not only are the common areas spacious, the elevators can easily accommodate an electric scooter, too! My son rolls through life in a wheelchair; on our most recent cruise, we were in an elevator with another family with an electric scooter and we all fit!

Oh, I can't WAIT for you to experience Disney's private island, Castaway Cay! I definitely recommend that your father bring his electric scooter onto the island when you disembark for the day in paradise. There are paved paths that his electric scooter will easily traverse. Also, there are complimentary sand wheelchairs that he can transfer into if he'd like to get closer to the ocean!

Carol, thank you so much for sailing by as you plan for your spooktacular high-seas vacation! It was my pleasure assisting you. If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us again!
