I will be traveling with my 4 and 2 year this fall to wdw and I am trying to decide between the contenporary resort garden view, the board walk or similar and the polynesian. Looking for what will be the less travel to the parks and most fun for the kids.

    Hello Michael!

I think with a 4 and 2 year old you may be spending more of your time in the Magic Kingdom.  If that is the case, I would probably go with the Contemporary or Polynesian resort.  Both resorts are located on a monorail loop making access to Magic Kingdom very easy and convenient.  In addition, you can transfer monorails at the Transportation and Ticket Center for a relaxing ride to Epcot.

You'll be able to see Wishes from either resort, however I think the view from the Polynesian beach is a little better as visually it looks like the fireworks are happening right over the castle.  It will be convenient to have the kids in their PJs, watch the fireworks and then head off to bed.

As far as which resort your kids would like better between the two.  Honestly, it comes down to your preference for theming.  The theming at the Polynesian is laid back and very relaxing.  And the Contemporary has, well, a more Contemporary feel to it.  Your kids may find it cool to stay at a resort where the monorail goes right through the lobby. And if you are going during a rainy period, that is definitely an added perk (especially if you are upgraded to a tower room)!

I hope this helps.  Diane  :)
