Traveling w/girls ages 8 & 7. Have TS reservations at O'hana(D), The Wave (D), Coral Reef (D), Akerhaus(D), Le Cellier(L), 50's Cafe(L). Dining plan covers 4 TS, willing to pay for 1. Girls really want Akerhaus, O'hana, CR. Which would you drop?

    Michelle:

As much as I liked my dessert there, the ambience at The Wave is nothing to write home about.  Compared to the other restaurants in your line-up, I don't think it measures up in theme, menu or value--especially for the girls.  If you're wanting to visit The Contemporary resort, order one of the flatbreads from the Contempo Cafe and use a counter-service credit.  Both the balsamic beef flatbread with carmelized onions and the mozzarella and marinara flatbread were one of the best finds for me when I visited last December.

I'm sure you've already figured this out, but pay out-of-pocket for one of the lunches. My gut tells me 50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios would cost less for your crew, but a quick glance at the menus at www.allears.net can help you decide.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
