We will be traveling to WDW for our 1st trip and a family reunion over Easter. We have 2 boys with Autism. They will be 12 & 9. What are the must do rides? Do you recommend the character dining? They are both picky eaters. Will it be a waste of mo

Hi Cristal! Easter weeks at Walt Disney World tend to be some of the most crowded times so please be aware of that before you head out to the parks.  Attraction lines will be longer then normal so being prepared will make all the difference in the world to having a magical vacation.

There are four parks and each of them have a variety of attractions from stage shows to thrill rides.  You will know what your boys will enjoy most and can handle. Children are all different too with their likes and dislikes. I suggest you sit down with the boys and review the attractions a few at a time for each park and let them choose their top three they would like to experience. I just did this with my grandson during a visit as I knew the heat would not allow a full day and wanted him to do what he most wanted to do during the time in the park. Here are a few favorites for my own family.
Magic Kingdom: People Mover, Carrousel, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Thunder Mountain
Hollywood Studios: Muppet Vision, Great Movie Ride, Rock n Roller Coaster, Toy Story Mania
Animal Kingdom: Safari, Lion King show, both walking trails, Rafikis Planet Watch, Expedition Everest, and Bugs Life
Epcot: Soarin, The Land boat ride, Test Track, Living Seas Pavilion, Spaceship Earth, and Innoventions

I usually recommend one character dining experience during your stay. It is a fun way to see some of the favorite characters up close for pictures and autograph versus waiting in meet and greet lines in the parks. My favorite is the Chef Mickey buffet and especially for breakfast. You can read the menus on the website to see if there is something else that might interest your boys taste buds.
