I will be traveling to WDW in the summer with a 3 year old who is still in a crib at home. He is too large for a pack-n-play but is not ready for a big bed by himself. What options are there at Saratoga Springs and Boardwalk Resorts for sleeping.

Greetings Jessica! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We just love to talk about all things related to Disney vacation planning, and I'd be happy to assist you today. It's great to see a fellow Marylander here!

How exciting that you will be journeying to the Most Magical Place on Earth with your son this summer! My little princess is the same age as your mouseketeer, and she also sleeps in a crib at home. We find that after a day of exploring the theme parks, she is snoring faster than you can say when you wish upon a star.  Pack 'n Play® cribs are readily available in all Walt Disney World Resort Hotels; however, you may also request a full size crib when making your reservation or upon check-in at your resort. Quantities of full size cribs are limited and not guaranteed, so if a larger crib is a must-have on your vacation, I suggest looking into third party companies, such as A Baby's Best Friend, that rent and deliver baby equipment.

At both Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa as well as Disney's BoardWalk Inn, you are able to call housekeeping to request bed rails for a resort room bed at any time. You can have this added to your reservation in advance, or let housekeeping know once you have settled into your room. I remember having trouble getting my son to sleep in a Pack 'n Play on a trip when he was about three, and we called housekeeping who provided us with bed rails almost immediately after placing the call. He slept soundly and comfortably all night long in his "big boy bed." I am happy to report that these bed rails will adapt to nearly any sleeping surface you encounter at both of the aforementioned resorts. If you will be a guest at Disney's BoardWalk Villas, your son might enjoy the smaller pull-down bed featuring an adorable image of Dumbo snoozing away. My little ones adore this style of bed found in many Walt Disney World Resorts.

I hope that gives you some ideas of how to help your young prince catch some z's on your vacation. Be sure to check out the Disney Bedtime Stories available on your in-room television. They are the perfect way to help the littlest adventurers wind down after a busy day of theme park fun.

Thanks for stopping by with your question, Jessica. If we can do anything else for you before you and your little guy fly off to Neverland, please come back and see us again. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon!
