I am traveling to WDW in September and staying at the AKL. I would like to get a manicure and pedicure at the closest spa to my hotel. Any suggestions? By the way, I love the suggestions I've received in the past!

    Hey Rudolf-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. No one wants to walk around with fingernails like Scar from Disney’s Lion King or even Hades from Hercules. Walt Disney World Resort has opportunities for hand, foot, hoof, paw and claw treatments across the land.

On the southeast side of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge overlooking the Uzima Pool and Flamingo Pond is Zahanati Massage and Fitness Center. Zahanati means dispensary in Swahili and this place can relax a knotted Python like The Jungle Book’s Kaa in minutes. They began offering manicures and pedicures, in addition to massages, July 2015. The prices are below. Don’t monkey around and wait till you arrive to make an appointment. This new service is desert hot so call 407-WDW-SPAS (407-939-7727) to make a reservation.
    Manicure (45 minutes) - $35
    Pedicure (50 minutes) - $55
    Polish Change (15 minutes) - $12

Disney Dad Tip: After a long day in the theme park there is nothing like a massage. Zahanati Massage and Fitness Center has massages to loosen even the most tense tiger. Whether it’s a facial, pedicure or one of their custom massages, this oasis in the African kraal will have you relaxed, refreshed and ready for more Walt Disney World Resort adventure.

Enjoy relaxing during this Magical Moment, Rudolf!
