    Hello! We are traveling to WDW next month and wanted to do something special for our 11 year old son who recently lost ambulation and now must use a wheelchair. We are staying at the Wilderness Logde...any creative sugguestions?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Michelle ~

    As a Mom of a special needs child, I understand the need in your heart to do something special for your son. There are so many wonderful options.

    Here are some ideas to make his trip special:
    * The Pirates League
    * Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage (their boat is handicapped accessible)
    * Jedi Training Academy (they can accommodate Guests in wheelchairs)
    * Play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
    * Wilderness Explorers
    * Fort Wilderness Archery Experience

    At Downtown Disney, check out:
    * Characters in Flight (this is handicapped accessible using a wheelchair)
    * LEGO Imagination Center
    * DisneyQuest
    * Splitsville

    Let me know if you have any questions about accessibility in the parks and the Disability Access Service Card for your son.

    Please feel free to visit us with all of your questions. We'll be here for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
