Traveling to WDW in May. We have our magic bands from previous trip. One of my daughters no longer wants her pink band. How do we switch my husband’s and her color? He will not be traveling on this trip. Many thanks and cannot was to get there!

    Hey Leigh!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for sending us your fantastic question about MagicBands. Congratulations on your upcoming vacation!

Leigh, I regret to inform you that once a MagicBand is linked to a My Disney Experience account, it can never be transferred. MagicBands are unique to their original owners.

Even if your husband has no entitlements available and is not traveling to Walt Disney World Resort during your next vacation, your daughter will not be able to use his MagicBand. In addition to touching his MagicBand to a touch point, your husband will need to scan a finger to enter the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. This makes his MagicBand completely non-transferrable.

Fortunately, Guests can have multiple MagicBands associated to their Disney accounts. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you are eligible to customize a complimentary MagicBand.

If you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, but your daughter wants an additional MagicBand, you can purchase one and link it to her account. It is that simple!

Leigh, if you have any additional questions please visit us again. We are always here to help you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
