We are traveling to WDW in May...very excited as it is my 1 yo first trip... we are staying at the cabins and have heard there are some newer cabins and some older. Is there any truth to this? Any ideas on which are which? Thank you, love the panel!

Hi Samantha! My family loves staying in the cabins when we visit Walt Disney World. We have stayed in about four of the loops and each has their own pros and cons. Some cabins do appear to be older but for the most part they are about the same age. I feel that some have had a small refurb along the way such as rebuilding decks or replacing appliances in the kitchens. This has been done as needed versus done according to a loop. Two loops that we have enjoyed are the 2200 and the 2400. They are close to a bus and not far from the secondary pool. If you are looking more for a secluded type setting we would choose the 2700 loop. We don't "love" the 2300 and the 2500 loops but just because the area around the cabins isn't conducive to kids having play area.....much more uneven and rough with roots and vegetation. Our favorite small loop is the 2100 one but it does back up to rv's on one side and tents across a small waterway on the other. With all that said we have never requested and really have enjoyed each stay in each loop. If you find something is not working to your satisfaction they will come immediately and address it to the best of their abilities. Enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful atmosphere of Fort Wilderness!
