    Dana from WA Asked

We are traveling to WDW in June - July and have never seen Fantasmic at DS. Do you recommend the Fantasmic Dinner Package? There are 7of us. We are thinking Hollywood and Vine. Is it worth the extra? Thanks! Dana Puyallup, Wa

    Dana,

In busy periods like late June and July I think it is definitely worth it.  In fact if you are already planning to eat at a table service restaurant, there really is no extra cost.  It doesn't add any cost to the normal cost of eating at a table service restaurant, it just is an added perk that you need to request (a nice benefit of planning!).

Without the Fantasmic Dining Package (FDP) some people wait 1.5 to 2 hours to get a good seat at the show during busy periods.  With the FDP you wait about 45 minutes and the seats are just fine (not the absolute best, but they are very good).

So...no extra cost, and saves about an hour.  Yep, sounds like a good idea!!

By the way, we went during a less busy period and still found the FDP to be a good idea.  We also ate at Hollywood & Vine and thought it was very reasonable (not my favorite restaurant, but a decent buffet with lots of good options).
