We are traveling to WDW 8/2011 a friend told us to go to a Pirate Dinner/Show where kids can dress up as pirates and be part of the show. I have been looking for info about this but haven't found any. Do they still offer this? Where? Cost? Something close?

    Hi Misty,

Isn't it super fun to plan a trip to Disney World?!

Disney isn't currently offering any pirate dinner shows but that sounds like it would be lots of fun.  If you are looking for some swashbuckling fun, check out The Pirates League at the Magic Kingdom where you and your family members over the age of 3 can be transformed into a pirate. It is a blast!  After guests get a new name, learn some swashbuckling maneuvers and take the official Pirate League Oath, all new crew members are invited to come back in the afternoon (typically held around 4 p.m.) to march in the Parade of Pirates in Adventureland.

Your whole family will also enjoy the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage which sails on select evenings from Disney's Contemporary Resort. In addition to clicking on the provided link, click here to see a video of members of the Disney World Moms Panel sailing out onto the high seas on this super fun voyage.

Disney's Pirate Adventure is for kids ages 4 - 12 years old. Each little buccaneer enjoys a light snack and beverage, learns how to talk like a pirate, visits legendary ports-of-call, and—if he or she is lucky—returns with a bag of pirate booty!

Let me know if you have any questions about either of these awesome experiences.  Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
