    Auriel from VA Asked

We will be traveling to WDW for the first time with our 1 year old. we are planning to do it for his 2nd birthday before we move back to the west coast. Any recommendations of what we could/should do with him while we're there?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Auriel ~

Celebrating a 2nd birthday at Disney World is a wonderful idea!

The Magic Kingdom is the perfect park for that age. He will love Fantasyland and I would make my FastPass+ selections for Dumbo, Peter Pan and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Be sure to visit Mickey at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom. He talks at this location!

If you are visiting during the warmer months, take a change of clothes and let him play in the Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station in Fantasyland. It is a great place for little ones to burn off some energy and cool off.

A character meal is a great way to celebrate. Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace are awesome choices. They will even bring out a cupcake and sing to him.

Book a family Portrait Session with a Disney Photographer. They do an amazing job of capturing memories in some very unique settings.

Because you'll likely spend a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom, I'd recommend staying in one of the resorts along the resort monorail line. This would make it very convenient for you to go back to your resort for naps. They all have great pools if your little one likes to swim. You can see the fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant from viewing points from these resorts as well.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
