We are traveling to WDW at the end of Sept. Our son will be 14 months old. Do you think Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is something we should try? Wondering if he will appreciate it at all & if it wll be worth the price of the extra admission

I am a HUGE fan of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  I am always encouraging people to go to enjoy the fabulous parade, the short waits for attractions, the music, the fireworks, and on and on and on.  My family has such a great time when we don our costumes and head to the most spooktacular party on Earth.  All that said, I wouldn't go based solely on your 14-month-old's enjoyment factor.  The first time we took my son he was just about thirteen months old and, honestly, he had a "take it or leave it" approach to the party.  Keep in mind that the parties don't even begin until 7 pm, and they last until midnight.  Most 14-month-olds I know have a hard enough time staying up that late, much less enjoying a party!

Granted, you will likely have shorter wait times for attractions that he might enjoy (like It's A Small World and Dumbo for instance), but he would probably enjoy those attractions just as much outside of the party setting.

On the other hand, it would provide an excellent opportunity to have your son's picture taken in his Halloween costume with an equally adorned Mickey Mouse!

Overall, I say that the party is absolutely worth the cost of admission for children over the age of three who will be more likely to remember the event and enjoy the activities there.  But don't go if your only reason for doing so is for your son's enjoyment.  He'd probably be just as happy playing in the resort pool or watching the ducks along the Sassagoula river (both free activities by the way!).  Good luck with your decision!
