We are traveling to wdw at the end of October 2017. When does the dates come out for the Halloween parade? I need to book my dining reservations at the end of April. Also, when there is a blackout dates can the general public still go to the parades?

    Hi Chris,

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of highlights of fall at Walt Disney World. The special event at Magic Kingdom usually runs on select nights in September and October. Dates normally are announced in late April or early May. I can tell you that last year, the party was held on most Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights in October. Please remember that the party requires a separate ticket, and some nights sell out fast, so be sure to get your tickets in advance if you want to attend.

Regarding blockout dates, Chis, those mainly apply to certain annual passes that are available to Florida residents like me and to Disney Vacation Club members. These annual passes do have some blockout dates during peak periods. A few special-offer tickets, such as the 4-Park Magic Ticket  currently on sale, also have some peak season blockout dates.

However, none of those blockout dates are in October, so even if you have one of these tickets or passes, you will have no blockout restrictions.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you make your fall plans. And don't forget to add a visit to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot to your itinerary. I love the delicious taste treats you find there!

    Enjoy,
