Mom and daughter on Expedition Everest

We are traveling to WDW in Dec. with our 4 yr old and 2 yr old twins. Should we take our double stroller with us or rent one? I don't know how easy it would be to get a stroller on the Disney buses.

I have the same family configuration as you, twins with a slightly older sibling. I understand your situation and I STRONGLY encourage you to bring a stroller from home.

In answer to your question, "Will it be easy to get a stroller on the Disney buses?" The answer is, no not really. Honestly, it can be a bit of a struggle to get three kids and their associated gear and a folded stroller onto bus (or anywhere else for that matter). But people are usually patient and helpful. I couldn't begin to count the number of times other guests were kind enough to help me onto the buses when my hands were full with the kids. And the stroller rental alternative is so much worse than the bus struggle.

Prices can change, but in March 2008, the double strollers rented at the theme parks for $18.00 per day. This can add up very quickly. Additionally (and more importantly) the rental strollers cannot leave the theme parks. With three preschoolers, it would be a major hassle just to the kids from the park exit to the bus stop without a stroller. You don't say where you're staying, but at many of the hotels, it could be a 7 minute walk just to get from your room to the food court or the pool. I would want a stroller to help me with this, particularly if the kids were tired or hot. Also, with two-year olds, there's a decent possibility that at least one of them would want to nap in the stroller. The rental strollers are very hard, rigid plastic, not conducive to restful slumber. Getting on and off the buses will not be fun, but being without a stroller during your non-park time will be much worse.
