We will be traveling to WDW in April with our 3 very young children (2 year old and twin 1 year olds) Do we have to fold down strollers on monorails and ferry boats? Which resort would best suit us with all our children?

Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Jared! As a mom of four children including a set of twins, I definitely understand your desire to plan a trip that runs smoothly and to choose a resort that suits your family, while also being convenient to the parks. I am happy to tell you that strollers do not have to be collapsed on the monorail. In regards to the ferry boats, some require collapsing and others do not.The Friendship Ferry that travels between the Epcot Resorts, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios does not require guests to fold their strollers. When staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge last December, we were asked to collapse our strollers on the motor launch (water taxi). If you will be spending a good bit of time at Magic Kingdom, then I would recommend staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort. I love Disney's Polynesian Resort for its tropical theming, spacious room accommodations, close proximity to Magic Kingdom, amazing dining locations, and monorail access. With little ones, it is very convenient to be able to easily travel back to your resort for a much needed midday nap or break. It is also nice to enjoy a relaxing dinner at the Resort followed by a viewing of the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the beach at the Polynesian. The Nanea Volcano Pool, one of two heated pools at Disney's Polynesian Resort, features a zero degree entry area on the beach end of the pool. Nearby is a children's wet-play area. I would consider staying at a Disney Resort that allows you to travel to the parks via monorail or boat. I have found firsthand that it can be very difficult for one parent to hold a collapsed stroller on the bus with sleeping toddlers. You may also consider Disney's Contemporary Resort which is within walking distance of Magic Kingdom and is the only Disney Resort that the monorail passes through. Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a Magical 2013 Trip, Jared!
    Happy Planning,
