Traveling for our twin boys 5th birthday in May. Have ddp and want to do hoop dee doo , can't decide if we use cat 2 seating with 2 credits or pay out of pocket for cat 1 seating? I want it to be special and this is one of the few things we haven't done.

    Hi Sabina!

You and your twin boys will not be disappointed doing the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! It is, to me, the best of all the dinner shows at Disney. Funny, highly entertaining, and really good food!

So, just to explain a few things: If you're on the Disney Dining Plan, it is 2 credits per person for the dinner show, no matter which seating you get. So, for that alone, get the Category 1 Seating if there are seats available. It puts you much closer to the action (i.e. stage), and you may even get "volunteered" to be a part of their proceedings :-) Also, generally they'll take a minute in the show to acknowledge any guests celebrating a birthday or wedding anniversary. You want your sons to be the center of attention when that occurs.

As for price, if you got the free dining plan offer, try to reserve using your Dining Plan, to save a few dollars. Even if your Dining is paid, you still may come out a little cheaper using 2 table entitlements (at the Dining Plan's discounted rate) vs. paying out right (which is about $64 per adult for Category 1 Seating during your arrival).

So, I would definitely do this dinner show. May you and family have lifetime memories on your Disney trip!
