Hi we are traveling there 12/18-12/24/2016 do you think it will be warm enough to swim?? also how bad are the lines in December? ive always wanted to go for Christmas and this is the closest we can get ...please help

    Hello Drew,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays is extra magical! The Resort Hotels and Theme Parks are beautifully decorated and filled with the spirit of the season.

The weather in December is very unpredictable; there will be some days where the weather is in the 80's and then some days when the average is between 50 and 70 degrees. In my experience, we have been able to swim in the Resort pools during our visits during this time of year but, we always pack warm clothing since the evenings tend to get chilly.

The closer you get to Christmas Day and New Year's Eve the more crowded the Theme Parks will get. Be sure to make your FastPass+ reservations for your must-do Attractions and, if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Hotel, be sure to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours at the Theme Parks.

Please let us know if we can help you with any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
    Susan
