I am traveling w/ my son, 5 & a friend who has a son, 6, both kids w/ down syndrome. We are staying at all star movies. We would like quieter connecting rooms. What should we requst? The boys would love toy story building. What location in building?

    Hi, Dianne!

Your kids will love All Star Movies with its larger-than-life movie icons!  If you are wanting rooms near Toy Story, you will want to book Preferred Rooms and request the Toy Story buildings which are Buildings 9 and 10.  These are close to Cinema Hall (food court, lobby) so the rooms will have more noise due to guests coming and going from the all the action, but if you request an upper floor, it might be a bit quieter.

The quietest rooms will be the Standard Rooms, as these are farther away from Cinema Hall and therefore do not have the same foot-traffic going by.  The themes here are Mighty Ducks and Herbie the Love Bug.  If you decide to go for the preferred room, add to your request that you would like a room in a quiet area of the building, connecting with your travel companions.  All requests are noted but not guaranteed.  I like to add my request by phone with a reservationist (by calling 407-W-DISNEY) then sending a kind fax to the resort about 5 days prior to arrival.  They will do their best to get you the best room possible, keeping in mind they cannot always accommodate all requests.

I hope you have a great time in Walt Disney World!  Let us know if you have any other planning questions, we are happy to help!
