Traveling with really tall people , are there any rides they may not be able to go on?

    Hi Amy,

Because my dad is almost six-and-a-half feet tall, I have plenty of experience with his height being a concern for rides.  There are a few attractions in the water parks that have height limits.  These are Tike's Peak at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and the Bay Slides and Ketchakiddee Creek at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  Luckily, there are no rides in Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom, or Disney's Hollywood Studios that have a maximum height restriction.  There are minimum height requirements on many of the more thrilling attractions, but the list of attractions does not state a maximum for any of these.

That being said, some of the rides may be a tighter squeeze for taller guests.  Typically, the biggest issue is legroom on some of the boat rides and roller coasters.  It is still completely possible for taller guests to ride these attractions, but they may be a little more uncomfortable than their shorter friends and family members.  My best advice is to try to take a look at the ride vehicle before you get on, just to see if there is a larger seat that you may be able to request.  On many of the boats, the front row has more legroom.  Although taller guests may be a little uncomfortable, they will still be safe.  It may seem like the lower hanging decorations and attraction pieces are very close to you, but don't worry ... that is all part of the magic!
