    Lindsay from MD Asked

I will be traveling to Orlando for a company meeting in December 2012 and I will have my husband and 1 year old with me. What rides at the Magic Kingdom and attractions at the Animal kingdom will be suitable for a child her age? Thanks!

    Hi Lindsay!!

The first time I took my son to Walt Disney World he was only 6 months old.  He was able to ride plenty of attractions, especially at the Magic Kingdom!!

Your daughter will be able to ride and/or enjoy the following at the Magic Kingdom: Haunted Mansion, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, it's a small world, Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Country Bear Jamboree, Jungle Cruise, Liberty Square Riverboat, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Peter Pan's Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Prince Charming's Regal Carrousel, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, and the Walt Disney World Railroad!  There are actually more attractions that she could do than those that she couldn't do at the Magic Kingdom.

Disney's Animal Kingdom also offers some attractions/shows that she will be able to enjoy.  Those are Kilimanjaro Safaris, Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo - The Musical, It's Tough to be a Bug, Flights of Wonder, Maharajah Jungle Trek, The Boneyard, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, TriceraTop Spin, Wildlife Express Train, and all the areas of Rafiki's Planet Watch!!

As you can see, there is so much that even a one year old will be able to enjoy while at Walt Disney World.  Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can help answer!!

    Have a magical day!!
