Is traveling with an 11 month old and a 2.5 year old too stressful for a Disney Cruise? Any advise on traveling with young kids? Is it worth it? Are there enough things for that age group to do on the ship? Is Anything will help!

    Ahoy, Renee!

Thanks for stopping by with your question! I'm happy to hear you're considering a Disney Cruise as your family vacation.

It sounds like you have your hands full with two little ones! I understand your hesitation and worry about traveling with young kids - I've done it myself! Our youngest had just turned two when we took our first Disney Cruise. I was worried that it would be a disaster - that I'd be stressed out and she wouldn't enjoy herself. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong! She had the time of her life.

Before we set sail, we made sure to pre-book some time for our daughter in the onboard nursery. Designed for ages three and under, the nursery has a soothing, calm atmosphere, and is staffed by well-trained, attentive Youth Counselors. There are two areas in the nurseries - one geared toward playtime, and also a more relaxed atmosphere for resting/sleeping. While our daughter spent time in the nursery, my husband and I were able to explore the ship on our own. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Palo, one of the adult-exclusive restaurants, and we checked out the nightclubs and lounges as well. We felt completely confident that our little one was being well taken care of on the ship!

There are also plenty of family activities you can all enjoy together. A Disney Cruise is the perfect place to find fun and happiness for all ages! Each day you'll receive a Personal Navigator - a daily schedule of all the activities happening on the ship. Make sure to keep an eye out for events geared toward the tiniest cruisers, like Jack Jack's Diaper Dash. I've been a spectator and cheerleader for the Diaper Dash - it's loads of fun!

There are splash zones in the pool area, specifically for little guests still in swim diapers. With pop jets, bubblers, and fountains - they'll have a blast in their own special pool zone!

I hope this helps ease your anxiety over traveling with little ones! - Diane W.
