I will be traveling with my 15 month old in Nov '09, I know I can rent a stroller for my length of stay. Is there a benefit or need to bringing my own as opposed to renting? I will be flying (about 3hr flight) and suggesttions or advice is appreciat

I think that the strollers you can rent at WDW are great for toddlers and kids that may only need to ride in a stroller sometimes. They are big and low to the ground which makes it easy for older kids to get in and out, but may not be the best option for your 15 month old.

I personally like to have our stroller for a few reasons. Having a stroller in the airport can be a big help. Most of the time you can gate check your stroller right before boarding the airplane, and you can use it to hold your child and/or carry-on luggage until then. Also, while you can rent strollers at the theme parks and Downtown Disney, you won't have access to one while at your resort. At the end of a long day, it is nice to be able to have a stroller for your child and any bags while you walk back to your room. Trust me, I know how hard it can be to carry a sleepy child, diaper bag and shopping bags!

In my opinion, it is worth saving the money you would spend to rent a stroller and bring your own from home - especially with a child as young as yours. Your child will be familiar with it and it you may be thankful that you have it when you aren't in the theme parks!
