We will be traveling with a 7 month old. Will there be anything we can do with the baby or will Nana and Pop watch him while mom and dad ride all the rides?

    Hi Barbara,

Both of my children were infants when they got to experience Walt Disney World for the first time. So, as you can probably guess, I'm a huge advocate of bringing children to Walt Disney World as early as possible!

To answer your question, there will be plenty of attractions and shows that you'll be able to experience as a family. However, your baby will have to hang out with Nana and Pop if you'd like to experience an attraction that has a height restriction (e.g. Space Mountain, Test Track, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, etc.) or has loud special effects (e.g. Stitch's Great Escape or Captain EO).

If you have a pause about a particular attraction or show, feel free to chat with the cast members stationed outside of that particular attraction and they'll be happy to tell you about the characteristics (e.g. lighting levels, sound levels, seating arrangements, etc.) of the attraction or show so you can make an informed decision before you enter.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

In addition to the traditional "SAY CHEESE!" types of pictures, make sure you take plenty of candid pictures of your baby as well. I took so many pictures of my children as they explored various sensory experiences and they are my absolute favorite pictures of all.

No matter where you roam, your baby will be seeing vibrant colors, hearing new sounds, inhaling savory aromas...and if you'll be okay with it...touching items with unique textures and tasting unfamiliar flavors. By giving my children exposure to so many sensory experiences in Walt Disney World, I saw nonstop joy and excitement in their faces.

I hope that helps and I hope you have an awesome vacation!

    Best regards,
