Mom And Son Safari

We are traveling with 3 little ones (3, 2 and 18m) and looking for a fun family restaurant where the kids would be able to get up and move about. I'm thinking the shows are too much for them to sit through and unfor. charc. dinners are bkd.

Yo! Rebecca! Two of my favorites for restless kids are Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom and dining with Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. Aside from Donald obstructing anything I wear with Mickey Mouse on it in our pictures, the Safari Breakfast is a blast. There's even an opportunity for kids to strut their stuff in a musical parade with Mickey around the restaurant. Similarly, there's a parade for the kids while dining with the Pooh crew too.

Buffets also offer the nice mobility option of being able to leave your table without question. In the event your kids need a break, just go grab more food together!

If you're unsuccessful in booking either of these character dining experiences, I've got a couple more up my sleeve (along with some freakish freckles. Thanks, mom. Bygones.) Here's what else comes to mind.
    • Biergarten at Epcot. The buffet offers the mobility option. In addition, there are performers on stage and a dance floor on which your kids can let their crazy out. What's not to love?!
    • Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. Make sure your kids ask for ketchup.
    • Coral Reef at Epcot. Kids love looking at the fish in the big aquarium. I like eating them (different fish though.)
