Traveling late august to Disney with 6 year old boy. Pretty low maintenance child. Plan on shipping umbrella stroller to resort, suggestions on what must haves and helps to pack in back pack?

    Hi Nicole!

Six is a great age for Walt Disney World!  They are still young enough to really see and enjoy the "magic", but also old enough to not require so much extra stuff, and can usually go longer at the parks without requiring naps.  You guys are going to have a great time!

For my boys, at that age, this is what I would pack:

snacks (they come in handy in between meals, and especially while waiting in lines)
    hand sanitizer or wipes
a water bottle or juice boxes
    sunglasses
    Tylenol and Pepto Bismol
    his own inexpensive camera
some type of game device (ipod, etc....also for long lines)
pen and notebook for character autographs
if he collects and trades Disney pins, then his lanyard and pins to trade

That's all I can think of.  My boys have always been pretty low maintenance, too, so I don't usually need all of the listed items, but I like to have them just in case!  Most of those can also be bought on property, but you can save some money by bringing your own!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
