    Ahoy Nancy!
Palo is a fabulous culinary experience, and I'm excited to hear you will enjoy the romantic atmosphere and delicious cuisine during your three-night voyage!  You can absolutely join your family during dinner on your Palo night to catch up with everyone.  Just let your dining servers know you have a Palo reservation, and you will not be eating on that particular evening.  They will be happy to bring you a drink, bread, or whatever else you like to hold you over until your reservation.
Thanks so much for stopping back by the Moms Panel, Nancy!   If you think of anything else, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
