Family enjoying activities on board

We're traveling with kids-9, 7 4, 2 on Dream 2/17/20. We want to take care of all the admin as soon as we embark, before it gets too crowded? Is there a check list? Thinking registering kids with Kids club? Orientation for nursery? Other essentials?

    Hi Laura,

I'm thrilled that you are about to set sail on the Disney Dream in TWO DAYS! So let's get right to it because you have a ship to catch!

The Youth Clubs onboard are amazing destinations where imagination can run wild and fun is mandatory! You may have already signed your kids up for these youth clubs during your online registration. If that is the case, then they will receive their Youth Activities wristbands when you arrive at Port Canaveral to board the ship, and they will be used to check them in and out of the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab.

If not, I’m pretty certain that the online registration window for your cruise has closed. But “Hakuna Matata” if you didn’t already pre-register your kiddos during the Online Check-in process. That can all be done at the Cruise Terminal. For your kiddos ages 9, 7, and 4, you will need to pick up their wristbands and check in with the Youth Counselors in the Youth Clubs after boarding the ship. My suggestion: go to the Youth Clubs to get all that completed as soon as you board the ship, and then grab lunch. Or vice versa if the little cubs are hungry and restless!

Don’t forget to drop in for a tour of “it’s a small world” nursery! and to secure reservations if you don't already have them. It will be reassuring being able to tour the space in advance and get familiar with their check-in process. Believe me, the peace of mind in being able to check on your 2-year-old using the two-way glass without being seen is priceless!

The final “essentials” I would recommend:

-Don’t miss Beauty and the Beast in the Walt Disney Theater-it’s totally amazing!
-Download the Disney Parks Navigator app for an up-to-date schedule of onboard events and activities at your fingertips.
-Make sure to plan some couple time. While the kids are away in the youth clubs and nursery, Mom and Dad should play!

I could list many more, but you've got packing to do! Wishing you a marvelous time and a DREAM vacation!

    Happy Sailing!
