We will be traveling in June for our first trip to Disney and will also be celebrating my oldest son's 8th birthday. We have 2 boys - 7 and 3 - and a 2 year old little girl. What are must-do activities with them? What is best character dining?

Traveling to Walt Disney World is going to be such a treasure with your family this summer. I would begin the special birthday at the Magic Kingdom. Head on over to Main Street U.S.A. to City Hall to get the birthday boy his personalized birthday Celebration Recognition Button. He can also get a great wishes call from Goofy on the antique phones. If you add the perfect 'it's my birthday' Mickey Mouse Ears you will find both cast members and guests wishing him a great day. This combination is a perfect way to keep him happy on his special day. As for must do activities there are so many for the entire family. I always start with the classic adventure that is the Jungle Cruise. The whole family will just love all there is to see on this great attraction. From there head over to Peter Pan's Flight and the always popular 'it's a small world.' As for shows, you must see the Country Bear Jamboree and Mickey's PhilharMagic. As for character dining, there are so many options depending on which Disney characters you wish to meet. I would suggest the Crystal Palace Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Theme Park. Here you can meet Winnie the Pooh and many of his friends from the Hundred Acre Woods while enjoying a buffet of American cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner. I hope this helps you all have a magical vacation at the Happiest Place on Earth.

As a Los Angeles native I basically grew up at Disneyland. It has always been so easy to take my family on the short drive to the Happiest Place on Earth. Watching my daughters make magical memories reminds me why I keep coming back. Learn More About Ari
