    Maura from NJ Asked

I am traveling from So. Jersey to WDW, was and wondering do you think it is better to drive, or fly? I figured it will be about the same cost, but with 3 small children (3,2,1) would it be worth it to have my own car, strollers, etc for nap breaks? Thanks

    Hi Maura,

I love to answer questions from folks in NJ.  My husband and I did the drive a few years ago and it took us about 16-17 hours.  He drove all night with only breaks for gas.

Driving down would save you a lot of money.  My friends just went down with their kids (4,1,1).  Since they saved so much on the airfare they splurged and stayed at a deluxe resort on the monorail.  They were very happy with their decision.  Maneuvring a lot of little ones on and off the buses can be cumbersome.

It will be much easier for you with a car and your own stroller.  We have tried taking my daughter (3) back to the resort to take a nap using the buses or the monorail.  It rarely works.  On the other hand, when we take her to the resort in a car she falls asleep right away.  Sometimes we just drive from one park to another just to let her get a 20 minute nap.

If you don't mind driving, I think its a great idea.

    Have a wonderful time.
