    Sherri Asked

I am traveling with my husband and two girls (4, 1) in September and am trying to decide between the Kidani Villas or the villas at wilderness lodge. We will spend most of our time at magic Kingdom. Which is a nicer resort to stay at. Thanks!

    Hi Sherri!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

That is a hard question!  Both are fabulous resorts.  However, I suggest going with the Wilderness Lodge if you think you are going to be spending a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom.  The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort in all of Walt Disney World.  I love the theming and I love the boat service it has to the Magic Kingdom.  If you decide to stay at the Wilderness Lodge, be sure to make a reservation for the Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner.  It's a lot of fun!

There is no doubt that Kidani Village is also a great place to stay.  It's a fan favorite and young children do love it, especially since there are exotic animals right outside.  However, if you don't have a car it can take a while longer to reach the various theme parks, especially the Magic Kingdom.  That's because Kidani Village and the Animal Kingdom Lodge are relatively remote on Disney property.  Also, there is no food court at Kidani Village; guests looking for one have to make a long walk to Jambo House or take a bus.  That said, if you are going to have your own car and don't mind driving it, then you might want to stay at Kidani Village over the Wilderness Lodge.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
