I am traveling for the first time to Disney with my family including my 2 year old son and 9 year old son. What are some suggestions on how to plan my day at The Magic Kingdom? We are only going to be there for 1 day understanding we won't be able see all

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel, Jessica! Your sons are going to have a fabulous time at the Magic Kingdom. While you are correct you won't be able to see everything, if you arrive early and stay late you will definitely see the lion's share.

If the official park opening time is 8:00 a.m. plan on being in front of the train station by 7:30 a.m. Not only will you see the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show, you will be one of the first people to enter the park.

If you aren't staying on Walt Disney World property and/or weren't able to pre-select your Fastpasses, immediately upon entering the park head to straight down Main Street, U.S.A. up and through Cinderella Castle to the FastPass+ kiosk at Mickey's PhilharMagic where you can select your three FastPass selections for the day. If you already have Fastpasses, take the same route and begin your day in the new section of Fantasyland. These attractions are very popular yet most people start their day in other areas of the park.

Conversely, staying late will also allow you to experience the park with low crowds.

Prior to arriving at Walt Disney World I suggest checking out the Attractions page so you can discover the attractions and entertainment options available. This will give you a good idea of what rides are available for both of your boys as you can filter the attractions for height requirements and thrill levels.

I hope this gives you a good start. If you have any more questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
