We are traveling the first full week in February. I know it is a must to have reservations for character meet and greet dining experiences but is it necessary for the other sit down meals? In particular T-Rex in Downtown Disney?

    Hi Diane!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I highly recommend that you make a reservation for any restaurant that you have your heart set on.  The first week of February won't be a particularly crowded time of year for Walt Disney World, but the restaurants are always popular and busy.  T-REX at Downtown Disney, in particular, is very popular. You may be able to get right in, but without a reservation I would expect to have a wait.  On the bright side, there are a lot of things close by to T-REX that you can do while you wait!

I know it cuts into the spontaneity of a trip, but reservations at restaurants are so worth it to me.  We don't like spending our Disney World time waiting to be seated!

If you want to try to get into a restaurant without a reservation, you should go at an off-time.  A late lunch or really early dinner time may increase your chances of getting in.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
