Traveling with family to WDW last weekn in July with 9 people; grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle 2 cousins, ages 7 and 8, mom, dad and 17 year old. Any suggestions for teenager so he is not bored about doing younger kid activities?

    Hi Kristin!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

There are thrill attractions in all of the theme parks, including Space Mountain and Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom, Test Track in Epcot, Expedition Everest in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Rock 'n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror in Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Most teenagers love those attractions.

You might also consider letting your teenager spending some time away from the main party, or breaking the large group into two or more smaller groups.  It is difficult trying to keep everybody together especially when everybody has different needs and interests.

I also suggest considering a visit to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.  In my opinion, most teenagers absolutely love spending time in one of the fabulous water parks at Walt Disney World.  Visiting one of them is my teenager's favorite thing to do in all of Walt Disney World.

Another thing my teenager loves to do is renting a Sea Raycer on Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake.  That is a small two person boat that can be rented.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
