We traveling as a family of four in August this year. We have never been in August what is the weather like? We are also traveling with two children that have autism in the past I was able to get A gac pass have they changed that?

    Hi Tiffany ~

August brings some really warm temperatures to Orlando. The average high temperature is in the low-90s and the average low is in the low-70s. Here are some suggestions on staying cool at Disney World that you may find helpful. They usually get a little over 6 inches of rain during the month of August so be sure to pack ponchos or umbrellas. Keep in mind that these are averages and check the 10-day forecast online before you finish your final packing.

Disney is committed to assisting Guests with all types of special needs including those with Cognitive Disabilities. They have put together A Resource for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (see link shown above) that will give you some info that may help you during your trip.

The Guest Assistance Card (GAC) has now been replaced by the Disability Access Service Card (DAS). You can request a DAS Card by going to Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. Cast Members will ask you some questions so they can best accommodate your children's specific needs. They'll take their photos for the DAS, go over the terms and conditions and have you sign the cards.

Here are some details explaining how the DAS works.

Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS.
