Hi there. We are traveling to Disney World w 2 upper elementary age kiddos and possibly a 2 year old and 1 year old. Any and all tips are welcome (w ages and amount of kids) we are staying @ Disney Resort, park hopper, and have Dining plan. Thanks.

    Hi Heather,

I am happy to help you think about how to best plan your Walt Disney World vacation!

I suggest that you get the older children involved in the planning. One way to do this is to have everyone watch the Walt Disney World planning video. The adults and older children can start to get an idea of which attractions they would like to experience. When we head to Walt Disney World, we often let each adult and older child in the party choose one experience each day that is a must-do. We build our schedule around those, and then, anything extra we get to do is a bonus! Once you know what these attractions are, I definitely suggest that you make Disney FastPass+ selections. The Disney FastPass+ system will allow you to experience some attractions with shortened wait times. Likewise, and especially since you mention that you have a Disney Dining Plan, I suggest that you make Disney dining reservations as soon as you are able. This will ensure that you are able to eat when you want to, where you want to.

When you are at Walt Disney World, take advantage of the Rider Switch Service. With two older children and two little ones, I am sure that the older ones will want to go on some rides that the little ones will not be able to. With two adults, Rider Switch Service allows one adult to stay with the little ones while one adult experiences the attractions with the bigger ones. Then you can switch and have the second adult experience the attraction without waiting through the whole queue.

I would love to help you plan more Heather; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
