I will be traveling to Disney World with my partner and his 5-yr old daughter. I am not the legal guardian, but he is. Are there any restrictions with me making reservations for her, or (if she'd be lost) picking her up from the Children Care center?

    Hello Jennifer!

First, a 5-year-old princess is (in my opinion) the BEST traveling companion for a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I can certainly understand your concern as we have traveled with our grandson numerous times without his parents. You will have no problem making reservations, adding her to your My Disney Experience account, or making FastPass+ selections.

I do recommend having a signed letter from your partner stating that you are one of her traveling companions and can pick her up in a situation such as a lost child. The only time during our recent adventure that our oversight came into question was at airport security. The TSA agent simply asked our grandson his name and who he was traveling with and where we were going.

A closing thought- have you considered a trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort? When our girls were young it was the icing on the cake, and they even talk about it to this day (they are 19 and 21).

    See ya real soon!
