traveling to Disney world for the first time in September for our sons 5th birthday. Which fast passes should we use to get the most out of our trip.

    Hi Robin,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What a fantastic way to celebrate your son's fifth birthday!

We took our girls on their first visit when they were 5-years old and it was the most magical trip! First, the Fast Pass+ selections you make will depend on what type of attractions your son might enjoy. On our first visit, our girls LOVED everything except one of them was terrified at Stitch's Great Escape! (temporarily closed now). Second, I would check the height requirements for popular attractions in each park. Use the Attractions & Rides links for each of the parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Here were a few of our girls' favorites at that age (they were both at least 40 inches tall at the time):

    • Magic Kingdom - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, The Barnstormer, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    • Epcot - Soarin' Around the World, Mission: SPACE, Test Track and Spaceship Earth
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios - Star Tours - The Adventures Continue and Toy Story Mania!
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom - Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain

Robin, since that first visit for us, Pandora - The World of Avatar has opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Toy Story Land is set to open on June 30th at Disney's Hollywood Studios! Be sure to know the Fast Pass+ tiers before making selections!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
