We are traveling to Disney World for our first time May 3-10. I think I understand that we have 3 fast passes per day. Is this per person or per group? What do you recommend using them for in each park? Are they required for parades/fireworks?

    Hi April!

There have been some wonderful updates to the FastPass system this year. Currently you are allowed 3 FastPass+ selections per Guest per day in one park.

FastPass+ are not required for any ride, show, attraction, parade or fireworks viewing. They are an "added bonus" to make your vacation flow smoother. FastPass+ either reserves a "time" for you to come back and experience an attraction or a reservation for an exclusive viewing area for fireworks or parade. If you do not FastPass+ an attraction, do not worry because you can still experience any attraction by using its normal queue.

Every family is different so I highly recommend visiting touringplans.com and viewing their suggested plans for touring the theme parks. There are plans for families with young children, thrill seekers, and many more. Below are my 4 year old son's top picks for FastPass+ choices:
    • Magic Kingdom
      • Peter Pan's Flight
      • Enchanted Tales With Belle
      • Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
    • Epcot
      • Soarin'
      • The Seas With Nemo and Friends
      • Journey Into Imagination With Figment
    • Hollywood Studios
      • Toy Story Midway Mania!
      • Disney Junior - Live on Stage
      • Muppet*Vision 3D
    • Animal Kingdom
      • Kilimanjaro Safaris
      • Kali River Rapids
      • DINOSAUR!

Thank you for your question April.  I hope this information helps, please write back if you have any more vacation planning questions.

    Blessings,
