    We are traveling to Disney World with our extended family. 4 young kids and 9 adults and flying into Orlando. Does anyone have tips as to where to stay vs another? None of us have been there, so any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Annie,

    You have a large party, so the accommodation costs, regardless of where you stay, will be a large part of your overall budget. What I recommend to friends in a similar situation is this;

    1. Pick one resort for every class (Deluxe Villa, Deluxe, Moderate, and Value) where you like the theming.
    2. Find a Disney Authorized Vacation Planner that is a no-fee agency, and ask them to price out these options for you. They will be able to find all the discounts available, including ones you may not find on your own.
    3. Pick the resort that best matches your budget.
    A few other pricing considerations:
    • If the Deluxe accommodations are in close to your price range, look at the Wilderness Lodge and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. They are typically lower in cost than the other Deluxe resorts, and both wonderful places to stay.
    • If you are looking at the Family Suites at the Art of Animation (Value resort), also price out standard value and moderate rooms in the amount that you would need. Sometimes the Family Suites, while a neat option, can actually be more expensive than the alternatives. Also the beds in the Family Suites may not be ideal for so many adults in a group.
    • You might find that some of the Deluxe Villas, while expensive as a single item, can actually save you money by having so many of you in one unit.
    Finally, my personal recommendations for a traveling group with so many adults;
    • Deluxe Villas: BoardWalk Villas
    • Deluxe: BoardWalk Inn
    • Moderate: Port Orleans French Quarter
    • Value: Pop Century

    Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
