    Billie from TX Asked

Traveling to Disney with Teens from HS Band in June, they are staying in the All Star. I will be staying at the Disney Port Orleans resort solo, so wondering what building/floor should I ask for. Doing Disney for the first time as an Single Female Adult!!

    Hello, Billie,

It sounds like you have a fun trip planned this June, and I imagine there are a lot of high schoolers equally excited about their upcoming trip!  Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside has been a family favorite of ours for many years. I love the landscaping of the resort since there are two different styles between the Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend buildings.  It also has the lovely boat ride down the Sassagoula River to Disney Springs.

Our favorite building is #14 in the Alligator Bayou section.  It is the closest to the main building and bus stop, which I think you'll appreciate after a long day at the parks.  The building also has some rooms that have water views, which are very pretty and serene.  To have a better view, you may prefer a second floor room. Please note, however, that this building has preferred rooms, which I'm not sure if you booked.

If you booked a standard room, there are some rooms in building #16, which is not too far away from the main building either.  It also has parking nearby in case will have your own car. It would be my first pick if I didn't book a preferred room.

Wishing you a magical trip. Please let us know if you have any further questions.  -Kara
