Mom And Daughter Magic Kingdom Cinderella's Castle

Traveling to Disney this summer. Four have never been, one has been there once, three have been there several times. Any suggestions for making the trip enjoyable for all and also to help the four that have never been to catch that "Disney magic"

We brought my daughter's best friend along on our most recent trip to WDW; it was her first visit.  Even though the rest of us know the resort like the back of our hands, we didn't have any trouble making the trip enjoyable for everyone.  Here are some suggestions:

    - have everybody choose their top two "most wanted" attractions in each park.  If choices overlap, then visit the top choices together.  If not, divide and conquer by breaking into smaller groups that are interested in doing the same attractions.  This way everybody wins!

    - accept ahead of time that the "newbies" won't be able to see everything in this, their 1st visit.  Sometimes when you have Disney pros on hand they may be inclined to push the first-timers to see and do it all.  Choosing a couple top attractions, shows, shops and restaurants is a more relaxing way to tour the world.  And if you find extra time to add in a few fun surprises, so be it!

    - get a general consensus ahead of time of precisely how each member wants to handle the experience.  Make note of those who are late sleepers, picky eaters, etc.  Plan accordingly!

Hopefully those tips will help you plan a memorable trip for everybody.  And, as far as catching the Disney magic, some of my favorite magical moments are unscripted.  Activities like renting a surrey bike at the Boardwalk, enjoying a waffle cone at Downtown Disney's Ghirardelli soda fountain, and watching the fireworks from Disney's Grand Floridian lagoon have all transpired into unexpected pixie-dust filled experiences for my family.  Allowing time to just take in the surroundings will likely result in similar magical moments for your group!
