we are traveling to Disney in September. we will have a party of 9-11 persons. 5 boys and on girl from 7-14.we have all been to Disney a number of times. Any ideas of any not to be missed thing to do off the beaten path. We are staying saratoga tree houses

    Hi Alicia!

Since it sounds like your crew is all a little older (no strollers?) you will be able to see and do a lot of really cool things that the majority of Disney World guests are completely unaware of!

You are already staying in the BRAND NEW treehouses, which are an adventure in themselves! While tons of activities outside the parks are available, some can get a little pricey. I want to focus on activities that are either free or relatively inexpensive. If you head over to the Wilderness Lodge Villas, you can check out the Carolwood Pacific Railroad room. Inside you will find lots of really neat trains and even some from Walt's personal collection! Closer to home, be sure to view one of the Movies Under the Stars at Saratoga Springs.  A huge outdoor screen and campfire is set up each night and your entire family can watch a Disney movie under the stars - love it!  Over in the Magic Kingdom, a totally new adventure has begun - Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.  If you visit the Firehouse as soon as you enter, you will be given instructions and "magic" cards that enable you and Merlin to save the park from Disney Villains!

Did you know that Fort Wilderness is home to a petting zoo, horseback rides and even archery lessons?  Just take a boat from the Magic Kingdom and spend the day exploring the great outdoors.  I hope that you have a wonderful time exploring all of the hidden magic that Walt Disney World has to offer!

    Much pixie dust,
