We are traveling to Disney next month. We have reservations for Chef Mickey's and also for the seasonal Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood and Vine. With the new meet and greet, will this be a duplication of character meals? Which is preferred?

    Hello Patricia,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Both Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios offer magical Character Meet and Greet Experiences. You can't go wrong with either one, but you may want to keep both Advanced Dining Reservations since the Characters and Dining Experience do differ from each other.

At Chef Mickey's, you'll have an entrance photo taken by the Chef Mickey statue upon your arrival. The photo will be scanned to your MagicBand or PhotoPass card.  If you decide to purchase Memory Maker, then the photo would be included along with all of your other Walt Disney World Resort vacation photos but if not, you will still have the option to purchase the photo. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Goofy will visit your table for photos and autographs as well as entertain Guests with song and dance!

Minnie's Seasonal Dining with the Fantasmic! Dinner Package will give you the opportunity to meet Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Although the Characters are almost the same as at Chef Mickey's, the theming and Dining Experience are totally different. You'll get to meet the Characters and play games geared toward the theme, and you'll receive party gifts too! The VIP seating for Fantasmic! also adds to the party and is an enchanting way to end your day in the Park.

If I had to choose between one or the other, then I would choose to keep Minnie's Seasonal Dining but, that said if it's not an issue with your budget I would keep both Reservations!

    Magical Wishes,
    Susan
