We are traveling to Disney first week of June, but I might have to change our traveling dates to late July. I heard that it gets very hot in July to travel with a toddler, is that true? Is early June a bit cooler then July?

    Hi Cindy,

Hooray for vacation at the Walt Disney World this summer!

While Disney is hot in the summer, it is the humidity that makes it feel hotter than it is. Even those of us who are used to the humidity, it can be tough. For those from hot but dry climates, it takes it to another level. Having traveled to Arizona in August, Florida in August is tougher. Disney will have air conditioned venues when possible but there still are many outdoor attractions and shows.

June will be slightly less humid but more importantly it may be less crowded. You can manage this by booking your FastPass+ for popular attractions to reduce your wait times. Also, think about taking breaks in the afternoon or spending one day midway through your vacation at the pool.

Finally, you will want to make sure you have plenty of water on hand. You will want to keep hydrated.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
