We are traveling to Disney in fall of 2021 and are bringing our dog. Which rooms at art of animation are dog rooms? Also if he’s quiet can he stay in the room for a few hours alone?

    Bow Wow, Julie!

Thanks for barking by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We have a beloved four-legged member of our family (named after one of Merida’s triplet brothers). We were just discussing a stay at the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort so that we could bring him with us. It sounds like you have the same idea!

I did some resEARch, and it looks like buildings #2, #5, and #7 are currently the designated pet-friendly buildings. This gives you a fun range of theme options, as they are Cars, Finding Nemo, and The Little Mermaid, respectively. There are pet-relief areas beside each of the buildings, as well as building #6. Please note that all designations are subject to change.

If you are arriving by plane, your pup is more than welcome to join you on Disney’s Magical Express or in a Minnie Van as long as they are in their carrier. On arrival at your dog-friendly Resort, your pup is expected to be well-behaved and on-leash at all times in public areas. You can leave Fido in your hotel room (with the room occupied hangar on the door), but it shouldn’t be for extended periods. If they cause excessive noise, you will be called to the Front Desk.

It sounds like your puppy is used to having you around, so you might want to consider Best Friends Pet Care while you are in the Parks. He can romp and play and have a fantastic time while you are enjoying the Parks, and you don’t have to worry about him being lonely.

Julie, I wish you a pawsome vacation!
