Hi! We are traveling to Disney for 5 days of park fun 60 days from now. We have a party of 11 that includes an infant. What do we need to do for rider swap on rides that he can't be held on? We've never had to do this before and we are confused. Thanks!

    Hi Ashley,

Woo Hoo!  Your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner!  Disney's Rider Switch Service allows one adult to wait with the little one while the rest go on the ride or attraction.  Then when the first party finishes, the person who waited can go on the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again.  In order to use the Rider Switch Service you should alert the Cast Member at the front of the attraction that you want to do Rider Switch.  They will issue you a Rider Switch pass and let you know if there are specific instructions for that attraction.

The Rider Switch pass will allow 2 people to enter that attraction.  After all, who wants to ride alone?  Please refer to the details printed on your Rider Switch pass since procedures do change from time to time.  Currently the Rider Switch pass is good to use at any time the same day it was issued.  This means if you would like to hold onto your pass and use it at a later point that same day you may.  My own family LOVES the Rider Switch Service, mostly because it means one of my kiddos gets to ride a second time with the adult who was waiting with the little one.  If you ever see a family playing paper-rock-scissors outside of a height-restricted attraction it might be my family.

Ashley take a look at the link that I've included at the top of this page for Rider Switch Service and you will see all of the attractions which offer Rider Switch Service.  If you have any questions about it while you are on vacation just ask a Cast Member and they will be happy to explain.

Thank you for your question!  Please let us know if you have any further vacation planning questions, we are always happy to help.

    Blessings,
