We are traveling to disney for my daughters 6th bday. this is her first disney experience and want it to be special. She will have braids will Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique be able to work with her, will it still be fun? Or should we do chef Mickey instead?

    Hi Brandie!

Happy Birthday to your princess! Having 5 princesses of my own, I can attest that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a special experience that any girl would love!

There are several packages and hairstyles to choose from, so your daughter will have plenty of options. Not only do my daughters love the special attention they receive from their Fairy Godmother-in-training, but they also love how royal they feel with nail polish and make-up. It's the only time that mom lets them wear make-up! The reaction to seeing themselves in the mirror after the big reveal is priceless! It always renders them speechless. I have to laugh when my daughters stare at themselves in the mirror and  I catch them trying to catch a glimpse of themselves in anything shiny throughout the day. This isn't just a's an experience fit for a princess!

Chef Mickey's is also a favorite character meal in our family. It is a lot of fun, a little noisy, and definitely feels like a party. We enjoy breakfast more than dinner, but that is only because we love breakfast foods. You get to meet several classic Disney characters dressed in their best chef attire. There is also some napkin waving action going on during birthday celebrations.

You know your princess best, so choose whichever experience you think she would enjoy most. I think both are wonderful ways to celebrate a 6th birthday, but I personally would choose the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

I hope your family has a magical vacation and your daughter has the happiest of birthdays!
